Mechanical Design Engineer

Sittingbourne, Kent

£40,000 - £60,000 DOE + Progression + Training + Pension + Bonus + Excellent Benefits

Excellent role on offer for a mechanical design engineer who is looking to work for an expanding, award winning organisation, where you will have the chance to progress to become a Technical Manager.

Do you have experience designing precision mechanical components? Do you have good leadership skills?

Established over 80 years this expanding company specialise in specialised manufacturing equipment for the food, pharmaceutical and automotive industries. Having firmly established themselves, they are now looking for a Mechanical design engineer to come on board to help with their expanding order books.

In this role you will be responsible for the design, development and management of the production process to ensure you maximise profit and deliver a product at a reduced price which is more efficient. You will help to lead a design team of 8 people. Scheduling work and resource, whilst designing, reconfiguring, drawing and developing specialist manufacturing systems.

* Managing full project life cycle from design to completion

The Person:

* Mechanical Design engineer

* Experience designing in 3D

* Ideally will have experience with Autodesk Inventor

* Small component design experience desirable
