Length: 12 months daily rate, there is a possible 12 month extension after this.

Support: We will help you every step of the way in understanding the job, organising accommodation and the location. We will also explain how to set up a Ltd/umbrella company, submit timesheets etc. We will also meet/skype you before completing the application form.

If you are successful, we check in with you, once every 2 weeks (usually Thursday afternoon) to make sure everything is going well and support you. This is the same to our developers who already work in the public sector.

Public Sector Body Information:

This public sector body is an agency responsible for improving wellbeing and outcomes for our citizens. It provides expanding services from its recent reform and plans further IT growth in order to try and solve the pressing issues faced in Ireland. They have 4,500 users in over 400 locations across Ireland. You will be working on the applications team with a mix of ICT applications such as .Net applications, mobile applications and Sharepoint applications.

Projects: You will be working on the implementation of an application solution architecture and software development capability within the ICT unit to develop innovative applications that support the work and assist staff in maximising the use of technology to work efficiently and effectively.

.Net Developer duties:

You will have responsibility for design and development of software projects. The work will primarily involve web application development to extend the functionality of the Public Sector Body's Web Portal which is used by external organisations such as schools and health professionals to interact with the Public Sector Body. You will work as part of a blended team using agile methodology and will be required to attend and take a leading role in sprint planning, sprint retrospective and stand up meetings.

You will also be responsible for the development of Rest API solutions to support interoperability with external systems. The developed solutions will primarily be deployed on premise but there will also be some Microsoft's Azure Cloud deployment.

Senior .Net Developer Skillsets:

Mandatory

A senior .net developer is required with the following expertise:

* Third level degree and Microsoft Software Development Certification (MSCD)

* .NET Framework (VB.NET, C#)

* ASP.NET/MVC, Entity Framework

* APIs development, ASP.Net authentication

* 5+ years' experience with JavaScript, with strong knowledge of jQuery and jQuery libraries

* 5+ years' experience with CSS, with good understanding of server-side CSS pre-processing

* 3+ years' experience with responsive design techniques and frameworks (e.g. Bootstrap, Foundation)

* Test Driven Development, Automated Testing Frameworks and Continuous Integration

* Agile based development methodologies, particularly on large scale projects

* Microsoft SQL Server, Data Modelling and Stored Procedures

Desirable

* Experience with the public sector

* Note that you will be Garda vetted if you get the job so if vetted already then this would be a plus.
