Security Operations Consultant

Experis are recruiting for an exciting opportunity in Birmingham for a Security Operations Consultant who has customer facing experience.

The role of Security Operations Consultant will be primarily based in Birmingham with some travel to client site : delivering a Security Operations Service to a blue chip organisations. The role offers superb career progression opportunities in a function that is receiving significant investment in IT and Information Security.

Key accountabilities

-Managing relationships with customers, suppliers & our internal Account team managers

-Work closely with our security operations centre & drive through service improvements for our customers & business

-Management of security incidents

-Maintain security policies & compliance

-Adhere to 27001 compliance

-Be conversant with Government security classifications

-Manage a security risk register

Essential Skills

*Extensive experience and knowledge of IT Operational Security Services.

*Have some knowledge of a few of the following technologies from a service perspective not necessarily a technical understanding:

-Vulnerability management

-Data loss protection

-Web Security

-Email Security Endpoint protection

-Endpoint encryption

-SIEM

-IDS/IPS

-Certificate mgmt

-Firewalls
