The post holder's principal focus will be to provide subject matter expertise for mental health and learning disabilities, ensuring that a safe and efficient service is commissioned.
The post holder will lead projects and whole programmes of work, bringing together and leading project teams from across agencies and disciplines on a project by project basis.
The post holder will be responsible for projects and programmes to deliver the mental health and learning disabilities transformation plan, and to improve care and outcomes in the CCGs clinical priority areas.
This role requires a highly experienced and competent professional with a broad experience of operational, commissioning and change management practice. The role requires strategic thinking and ability to negotiate and influence at senior levels across multiple organisations, including senior management and clinicians. The post holder will also engage with, influence and inform providers, commissioners and external audiences on the transformational vision.
This role is designed to take on responsibility for leading transformational change across all mental health focussed services. This includes delivery against existing QIPP improvement programmes and identification of new opportunities for change.
The role is predominantly CCG focussed, however it is expected that where appropriate activity is aligned and in partnership with the local Integrated Care System footprint.
The post holder will work as part of the wider Commissioning Team and will be required to link closely with them to ensure projects work together to lead to the delivery of system wide service improvement. Specifically the post holder will:
* Lead specific projects to re-design services or pathways as part of the Team's portfolio of transformational change across mental health services.
* Utilise rigorous project management and service improvement methodologies.
* Liaise closely with the Project Management Office to assure project delivery. Utilise complex data and information to make decisions and to inform project priorities
* Engage with, and support clinical leads in development and delivery of projects.
