Senior AI Consultant / Senior Technology Research & Development Consultant

One of our global consulting and professional services company in the energy and utilities sector clients is seeking a Senior AI Consultant to join their rapidly expanding teams based in the West Midlands. This is an excellent opportunity to ensure company leadership within new and emerging markets within the energy and utilities sector. You will have strong experience within computer science technology and development of feasibility demonstrations and communication of both these to internal and external stakeholders.

Within this role you will have a key role in utilising emerging technologies, such as; IoT, robotics, artificial intelligence, virtual reality and augmented reality. You will utilise these technologies to foresee market change and shape these in to business opportunities.

Our client is looking for someone to join them on their journey of exploration of new technologies through exponential thinking and execution.

As Senior AI Consultant your duties will include, but not limited to:

*Development of emerging technology research to bring together demonstrations and published insights Ito key topics

*Your focus will be on/ and researching Artificial Intelligence (AI), Augmented Reality (AR), Virtual Reality (VR), Internet of Things (IoT) and Systems Integration.

*Full project lifecycle ownership and budget management

*Provide technology solutions and guidance to the build digital platforms and create use cases

*Work collaboratively on concepts, technology experience and implementations with both technology partners and customers

*Develop content and briefing materials to demonstrate the value of the technologies and the capabilities to the market

*Support the development, deployments, and extend solutions that involve both hardware and software

*Support solutioning technology systems to create real time IoT data to integrate with AI and Immersive reality systems

*Some coding will be required, and so experience with Python, C or APIs would be beneficial

*Demonstrations and research

*You will be required to act within a mentoring capacity for more junior members of the team

*The role may require a small level of international travel when required

As the Senior AI Consultant, you will be required to possess:

*Degree within Information Systems Management to Computer Science or Electronics

*Experience with disruptive technologies

*Experience leading fully innovation lifecycle from ideation to feasibility, prototype and demonstrator development

*Technology roadmap planning experience

*A strong understanding of technology in business ,models and approaches to innovation

*Knowledge of systems integrations of one or more platforms - AWS, Azure, Google, IBM and Open Source

*Coding experience with either - unity, Virtalis, Open Source, Python or C

*An awareness of scalability, security, high availability (HA), and operational requirements would be beneficial

*Knowledge of object orientated programming principles, design patterns and software architecture would be advantageous

*Experience working within the energy or utilities market is desirable
