Job DescriptionSenior Embedded C Specialist A global start up now gaining substantial momentum has a requirement for a Senior Software Consultant to join them on an initial 12-month contractual basis to work on a variety of product developments for ethical application.The initial product development is working on a unique hub device that connects to a monitor via a cloud platform. The client are experiencing issues with the quality of video being transmitted, therefore initially you will be working on the interfacing and video encoding/decoding and transmission. Primarily this will involve interfacing, so experience with I2S or I2C is useful, failing that any experience with  UART, SPI I2C, I2S, BLE, TCP is recognised as relevant and experience having used an I.MX6 micro processor is beneficial. The user land/ user space is within an Android closed driver, whilst experience in Android application development is not required, any exposure or experience working within an Android build environment is necessary.My client is looking for a developer with embedded C experience in Kernel (Linux Kernel) and Device driver level, the specific processor is an I.MX6 so any experience with Cortex processors, and UART, SPI I2C, I2S, BLE, TCP is recognised as relevant. Role You will be working partly in the Covent Garden based Hardware/Software Development office and part from home (i.e. Monday - Wednesday onsite with the Thursday and Friday from home). This can be flexible after an initial period.You will be working in a fast paced agile team and given autonomy over problem solving issues and contributing to future product releases. Telephone interviews are taking place from the 07/07/18 for an ASAP start
