Java Data Engineer - Cheshire/Manchester - £500 - £630 per day - 6 or 12 months

I am recruiting at present for a contract Java software data engineer for one of my clients in Cheshire, who are still in their relative infancy but embarking on some huge projects which require a number of talented developers dealing with big data.

Rate: £500-£630 daily dependant on experience/skills.

Length: 6 or 12 months dependant on individual.

Location: Cheshire (Manchester central possible after 2 weeks in Cheshire).

Start date: ASAP.

The project focuses on big data with the company taking on over a terabyte of data every hour and 300 pieces of data every 3 seconds! My client has a specific preference for collaborative individuals with strong communication skills and who are able to work well within a fast-paced team environment, as well as those who are committed to the project and passionate for the work they do.

Essential Skills:

Java 8

Apache

Spark

Amazon Web Services (or Azure or other relevant cloud experience)

Kafka (or Rabbit or experience with relevant messaging systems)

Hadoop

Mongo DB

Desirable Skills:

Jira

Agile Framework experience

Jenkins
