SQL DBA / SQL Database Administrator (SQL Server 2016 NoSQL Cassandra). Are you a talented SQL DBA who wants to learn about NoSQL and gain new skills within a supportive and challenging environment?
Global financial software house with in excess of 2,000 institutional clients is seeking a bright, ambitious SQL DBA. Daily activities will include monitoring database performance, identifying bottlenecks and proposing ways to optimise performance. You'll be managing data backup and restores required for disaster recovery and working within the release management framework to deploy schema changes. You'll install new servers and upgrade existing servers with regards to patches and new releases, providing high levels of availability for the Production and UAT systems. You will partner with the development team to advise and assist with the enhancement of the current database.
You'll be based in the City with a friendly and informal atmosphere.
Requirements:
*Strong SQL Database Administration experience
*Good knowledge of Linux OS
*Experience analysing database performance and query optimisation
*Desire and aptitude to learn about NoSQL (Cassandra)
*Excellent written and verbal communication skills
