Software Development Engineer in Test (SDET) required for a fixed term contract position with a leading client based in their Leeds office.This role will work closely with the Test team and will be responsible for developing and executing comprehensive suites of automation test plans and tests cases, automation for newly integrated features and the development of toolsets to augment testingKey responsibilities include the creation, maintenance and execution of test plans and test cases against our hardware and software platforms. Develop and maintain application tools that build, deploy, automate and streamline code management and product delivery process. You will enhance performance testing activities and write specialised testing tools for use by the rest of the Test team.Interested applicants will ideally possess 4-6 years of experience in Microsoft Technologies, with knowledge and experience of SQL, C# and .NET high desirable. Demonstrated skill using code repositories, preferably Microsoft TFS, and knowledge of Microsoft plug-in tools, such as Selenium, would be a distinct advantage in this position.Candidates must possess excellent troubleshooting skills to root cause complex issues and experience of applying formal software testing methods, coupled with knowledge of performance test techniques and strategies is essential.
