Network Engineer - SC Cleared - Nexus, TCP/IP, ASA, HLD, LLD, ASR, UCS, VMware - Contract - Whiteley - 6 MONTHS - £400 per day.

Spring Technology is looking for a Network Engineer for a large organisation for an initial 6 - 12 months contract. SC Clearance is needed for this role.

Essential:

A proven understanding of the configuration and deployment of Cisco Nexus, ASA and ASR technologies.

Experience of designing IT Infrastructures following requirements capture

A thorough understanding of the HLD and LLD design stages

A demonstrable understanding of the base-technology disciplines required to create a complete functional solution including: Virtual Compute, Storage, Networking (Layer 2, Layer 3, Firewalling), DNS, DHCP, NTP, and to include non-functional aspects such as designing for high availability/resilience.

Desirable:

Knowledge and experience of the Commercial Off-The-Shelf products that underpin the Platform and the capabilities offered by the Platform are required, including:

Previous experience of working with Cloud environments.

FlexPod architecture: Compute platform (Cisco UCS), Virtualisation Platform (VMWare), Storage Platform (NetApp), Networking and Fabric Platform (Cisco Nexus)

Platform Services: DNS, DHCP, AAA, IPAM, NTP (InfoBlox), Directory Services / LDAP / Authentication (Microsoft AD), Identity Management Services (NetIQ Identity Manager)

Knowledge of DMZ Architectures including Web / SMTP proxy functionality
