Business Systems Analyst

Spring Technology's client, a public sector organisation, are currently looking to recruit a Business Systems Analyst for an initial 18 month contract on a rate of c.£250-300/day (inside of IR35) based in Edinburgh.

Responsibilities:

* Analyse business process requirements provided by the Business Improvement Analyst and design these into functioning systems and processes.

* Research and investigate options for configuring existing case management system and other business systems to deliver new case types and to enhance existing case types.

* Constructively challenge and act as critical friend to achieve solutions that are fit for purpose.

* Collaborate with other business analysts to plan and manage ongoing support for end users and input to User Acceptance Testing and integration testing plans.

* Plan and prioritise workload - using recognised project planning and management styles (i.e. Prince2, Agile).

* Analyse and assess core business reporting processes and management information and provide guidance to Senior Business Analyst and Technical manager in support of the Management Information and Reporting strategy.

* Collaborate with other business analysts to plan and manage ongoing support for end users and input to UAT and integration testing plans.

Requirements:

* Experienced Business Analyst - with a track record modelling business processes.

* Experienced in delivering business and system improvements - defining and evaluating options for change and making the selected option for change happen.

* Proficient in the methods and techniques for effective management of projects from initiation to completion (i.e. Agile / Prince 2).

* Understanding of risk and risk management tools.

* Competent user of MS Office Packages ideally including features on the Developer ribbon.

* Experience of communicating business change to key stakeholders would be advantageous.

* Good understanding of technical IT solutions and tools for both case management and spatial/mapping (GiS) and experience of MATS is desirable.
