Infrastructure Administrator - Linux/ Windows / VMWare required to join leading provider of financial software products and solutions. This role would suit an experienced Infrastructure Administrator or Systems Engineer who has knowledge of Linux (CentOS or Red Hat), Windows Server, VMWare products and Oracle databases. The role is accountable for all Linux administration and optimization including patching, OS upgrades and troubleshooting. A good understanding of networking - DHCP, DNS, TCP/IP routing and backups is also required.

Ideal candidates for this Infrastructure Administrator role would have 10+ years of experience in direct support of infrastructure component at multiple sites. You should also be familiar with security and compliance regulations such as SOX, ISO27001, and tools such as JIRA and Confluence. You will join a well-established multinational software and solutions company that can offer opportunities to develop your career in a technical and business perspective. You should have excellent communication skills and ideally be a graduate in Computer Science or a technical degree as well as a proven track record in support and administration in an environment which includes Windows Server, Linux and VMWare for virtualisation.

Responsibilities for this role include

      •     Work with team members to integrate with other IT systems; providing Linux technical guidance, recommendations, and resolutions.

      •     General Linux, Windows & VMware system administration, security patching, OS upgrades, troubleshooting problems, and ensuring maximum availability.

      •     Schedule and perform regular systems maintenance.

      •     Write and maintain bash and perl automation scripts.

      •     Setting up of administrator and service accounts, maintaining system documentation, tuning system performance, installing system wide software and allocating mass storage space.

      •     Troubleshoot and debug issues that arise in production.
