Reporting to the group infrastructure manager you'll be responsible for designing, implementing and maintaining a global telephony/UC Strategy along with problem analyse and

What will you be responsible for?

* Ensure high availability of all aspects of telephony/UC and associated Linux distributions along with the installation and management of systems

* Design and delivery of new; and upgrade of existing telephony/UC solutions to meet business requirements.

* Day-to-Day management of: Antivirus, Patch Management, Backup, Pro-active Network & Server Monitoring, Performance logging of all telephony/UC related solutions.

* Provide 3rd line telephony support to the IT Helpdesk teams located around the local and remote facilities.

* Provide assistance/resource to Group IT Infrastructure manager during projects/deployments.

* Implement emergency changes to recover services in the absence of the Group IT Infrastructure Manager.

* Offer assistance and resource to the Group IT Infrastructure manager during projects and deployments.

Skills, Knowledge and Abilities

* Highly proficient in both spoken and written English.

* Educated to degree level or equivalent knowledge and abilities.

* Ability to work independently or collaboratively.

* Excellent problem solving and analytical skills.

* Proven ability to adapt to a changing working environment with a flexible approach to working.

* A high standard of interpersonal and communication skills, and the ability to handle confidential information.

* Demonstrable competency to manage relationships with customers and suppliers and a strong customer service focus.

* Excellent broad understanding of IT concepts, technologies and trends.

* Relevant industry qualifications or equivalent experience of all aspects of SIP/VoIP, Asterisk, FreePBX, ISDN, Networking, DHCP, DNS, Firewalls, Traffic shaping, TCP acceleration.

* Experience integrating Skype for Business with Asterix/FreePBX/similar.

* Experience installing/configuring; Voicemail, IVR, Call Centre & Telesales, CRM interfacing, recording, reporting & billing, faxing, soft client etc

* Relevant industry qualifications or equivalent experience in numerous Linux Operating Systems such as Redhat, Debian or Ubuntu.

* Relevant experience in configuring and methods of provisioning various major SIP phone vendors.

* A relevant industry qualification or equivalent experience in VMware virtualisation.

* Relevant experience to show an understanding of security context to all aspects of the IT infrastructure including SIP security, firewalls, antivirus and other security appliances.

* Relevant experience in designing and implementing an enterprise backup and recovery strategy.

* Relevant experience in managing onsite hardware support and maintenance contracts for the IT infrastructure.
