Mon - Fri (36.5 Hour Week) + 40 days holiday, Pension, Training, Progression
£29,000k - £39,000k pa + Benefits

Are you an experienced Workshop Manager from an R&D background? Do you have good interpersonal and man management skills to motivate and communicate effectively at all levels, covering a range of different projects?
This is a post within a rapidly expanding and world renowned Research and Development department at a leading University. Due to continued growth my client is looking for a Workshop Manager with experience within a R&D manufacturing environment and excellent interpersonal skills to manage people of all levels to achieve the required output. This wouldn't suit a Production manager.
You will co-manage the work request system, academics, dealing with both internal and external customers to meet high levels of technical specification and support to achieve excellent customer satisfaction ensuring deadlines for specific programmes and development projects are met. The work is extremely varied and knowledge of equipment such as CNC, tooling, grinding, welding, the ability to have input on designs, as well as other associated skills are needed.
You will need strong skills to offer solutions to problems, along with excellent interpersonal skills to motivate people of all levels to ensure deadlines and targets are met whilst all health and safety policies are adhered to.
This is a fantastic opportunity for anyone with excellent man management skills from a development or manufacturing background to join a world renowned research department with an extremely exciting and varied workload.
