IT is the driving force behind our entire business. From the systems that run our manufacturing facilities to the software that allows us to deliver an exceptional customer experience, our IT function goes a step beyond to ensure our operations remain at the very cutting edge of technology.

WHAT TO EXPECT

This is initially a 1 year fixed term contract which will convert to a permanent apprenticeship in year 2 for the remainder of the degree programme. If you're considering a career in IT but aren't sure which route to take, then this role is the dream solution. Joining us as a Junior IT Analyst, you'll be getting stuck into the complex and exciting IT systems that help us to run our business, and working towards the goal of becoming a fully-fledged, Network Analyst, or Data Analyst. Working alongside some of our most experienced IT staff, you'll get exposure to a variety of software, systems, and processes, learning key IT skills over a three year period and gaining an IT degree in the process.

You will be working towards a BSc Digital & Technology Solutions, spending 80% of your time hands-on in across our sites, with 20% of your time dedicated to studying. In your second year you will transition to our apprentice scheme.

Key responsibilities in your new role will include:

* Working with multiple teams in our business to achieve operational targets

* Finding new ways to solve problems

* Challenging existing thinking and devising new solutions

* Create reports

* Review data and interpret statistical performance reports

WHAT YOU'LL NEED

We're interested in people who are driven to become IT experts, and display a real passion for all things technology. Ideally you'll already be IT savvy, and perhaps demonstrate IT skills gained through a hobby or your school studies, and a desire to build skills is most important.

No prior experience is required, you'll just need to be highly self-motivated, and be fully committed to the studying aspect of the role too.

In order to succeed in your application, you'll need the following qualifications:

* 3 A-Levels (Grades BBC - Achieved or Predicted), ideally in Maths, Physics, Chemistry, Geography, English, History, and/or a language.

* 5 GCSEs grade 4-9/A*- C including Mathematics (B) and English

This role is ideal for someone with a logical mindset and great problem solving capabilities. To help you thrive in this role, you'll be a strong communicator with great people skills.

Unfortunately we cannot accept applications for candidates who have started studying towards or already hold a degree, and CVs of graduates / enrolled students will not be considered.

Jaguar Land Rover considers that this role does not meet the criteria to be considered within the Home Office Shortage Occupation list. Therefore, Jaguar Land Rover will not support an application for visa sponsorship and all applicants for this role must have an unrestricted right to work for an indefinite period in the UK.

BENEFITS

Bring all this to the home of premium innovation, and you'll find the opportunities to further your career with a world-class team, a discounted car purchase and lease scheme for you and your family, membership of a competitive pension plan and performance related bonus scheme. All this and more makes Jaguar Land Rover the perfect place to continue your journey.

Jaguar Land Rover is committed to equal opportunity for all.
