Excellent opportunity for a field sales professional from an electronics background to join a market leading worldwide organisation that is offering a challenging, long-term career opportunity to progress and work on a variety of projects.

The company design and manufacture bespoke electronics solutions for a wide range of markets and applications. They are going from strength to strength within their sector and are winning a large number of prestigious and large scale projects. As they continue to grow they are now looking to add a Sales Manager to their team.

In this role you will have direct responsibility for the microelectronics sales and market share growth. You will identify new revenue streams and strive to meet company targets.

The ideal candidate will be an experienced sales professional with a background in either electronics, opto-electronics, microelectronics, RF & microwave technology. Candidates from defence, civil aerospace, space and oil & gas will all be considered.

The Role:

*Undertake sales & marketing research to

- Identify potential new customers, programmes, products and markets

- Plan visit campaigns to maximise number of contacts and efficiency of travel

- Maximise number of value add visits

- Keep abreast of market trends

*Ensure new business generation targets are achieved

*Work with the head of BDM and other sales and senior management staff

The Person:

*Degree in electronics / engineering or similar area

*Full UK driving license

*An experienced sales professional

*Will look at candidates from a defence, civil aerospace, space, and oil & gas background

*Opto-Electronics market experience

*Understanding in the supply of commodity electronic components

*Any experience of Microelectronics, RF, Microwave and Electronic System Assemblies desirable
