Data Centre Engineer / Technician (Windows Linux Networking). Prop trading firm based in the City is seeking a skilled Data Centre Engineer to work alongside the networking and systems administration teams and be responsible for data centre operations.

This is a hands-on role that will encompass data centre rack and stack work, network administration and systems administration; you'll travel to data centres and troubleshoot issues, install, configure and monitor new and existing equipment and be responsible for the overall data centre security, organisation, safety and supplies. You'll proactively suggest and make improvements and take ownership.

This Data Centre Engineer / Technician role is an excellent opportunity to join a highly successful Quantitative trading firm with an informal and collaborative team atmosphere, casual dress code and fully stocked kitchen.

Requirements:

*Strong knowledge of data centre best practice and cabling methodology

*Good knowledge of Windows / Linux, networking

*Ability to lift up to 50lbs in weight and comfortable climbing ladders to install equipment

*Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills

*Strong communication and interpersonal abilities
