The Next Chapter

We have an exciting new opportunity for a Business Analyst to join our team! We are looking for a big picture thinker who is comfortable taking a group of stakeholders through a journey from discovery to release and to work in a Scrum team to support the development of solutions for the stakeholders. You are equally happy to coach other team members in best practices and remaining hands on.

The Star

The star of this chapter is going to be you, our Business Analyst. A self-starter who takes initiative to get tasks completed. Our Business Analyst will:

Liaise with Subject Matter Experts, product owners and clients to gather and refine requirements and explain subsequent solutions

Work with product owners to breakdown work into suitably sized business outcomes ready for Scrum teams to work on

Work with a Scrum team to further breakdown the work into user stories using techniques such as Business Process modelling, personas, story maps and impact mapping

Support a Scrum team to develop and test user stories

Maintain context and focus on the business problem being solved throughout the life of the story and business outcome

Continuously encourage and suggest improvements in existing practices such as collaborative design over design upfront, testing right from the start etc.

Mentor, coach and teach other team members

Our Business Analyst is going to be a special kind of person. Someone who is confident engaging with stakeholder both internal and external, someone who has:

Proven experience as a Business Analyst

Strong analytical, design and software testing skills

Good communication skills, written and verbal

Strong coaching and mentoring ethos

An ability to build strong relationships with key stakeholders

Basic knowledge of pensions administration or other financial experience
