NOC engineer - Network Engineer - Network Operations Centre engineer

Role

A NOC Engineer position has been created within a leading service provider in Yorkshire. This role will be ideal for a NOC engineer who enjoys variety and problem solving. This is a hands on diagnostic role for a NOC Engineer and daily duties can involve:

* Installations and migrations

* Change requests

* Dealing with escalations and fault finding

* Project work that includes optimising network

* Configuring core routers and switches

* Travel to data centre will be required (3 times a year) to carry out maintenance work

* Design and implement hosted solutions for customers

* Monitoring core and hosted platforms

Experience required

Proven experience of the following technologies within a NOC / Network Engineer / Technical Support role:

* Routing and switching (ideally Cisco products)

* LAN and WAN

* Ideally have worked with firewalls or demonstrate an understanding

* Ideally worked with dynamic routing protocols specifically BGP, OSPF

* Ideally have knowledge with ADSL and telephony

The NOC Engineer / Network Operations Engineer will benefit from an excellent team working environment where they can enjoy variety in the role as well as being exposed to different technical challenges. Training will be provided for especially for specific firewalls that they work with.
