I am recruiting on behalf of a Global Enterprise in the Financial Services & Banking space who are looking to hire an experienced Business Analyst as part of a major portfolio of change within the organisation.

The fundamental purpose of your role will be to co-ordinate, plan and perform BA tasks for the organisation's specialist applications and manage internal domain analysis resources for one or more components of a Programme. You will essentially act as a reviewer and quality gate for analysis output, challenging IT to ensure root cause is addressed and the right design delivered for user requirements. Moreover, this role is of particular strategic importance due to PSD2 coming into force, with this role focusing heavily on the open banking function within the organisation.

In terms of location, the role will be based out of their HQ in Knutsford (Cheshire) with occasional home working opportunities on offer. In terms of the core duties and responsibilities, rather than simply copying and pasting the official JD, I have decided to highlight the main focus areas below:

Stakeholder Management - First and foremost, your role will be heavily stakeholder-facing with a focus on both managing and influencing stakeholder expectations throughout the duration of the project lifecycle. You will be expected to engage with both internal and external stakeholders (up to C-level), managing any risks and changes whilst ensuring all of the relevant parties are keep fully informed at all times. A proven track record working in a stakeholder-facing role is therefore crucial and necessary when applying for this role.

Open Banking & Financial Services - The core focus of this role will sit within their open banking function so previous experience working as a Business Analyst within the open banking domain is really important. You should ideally have some knowledge and/or commercial experience with PSD2, acting as an SME as and when necessary.

Business Analysis - The title probably gives it away, but a strong commercial background working as a Business Analyst is crucial to be successful in this role. You will be expected to work between the various departments and functions, gathering requirements and ensuring that said requirements are being adhered to during the delivery phase. You should have an understanding of Agile and Waterfall delivery models and should be able to demonstrate knowledge and experience with the core BA toolkit. Any experience working in an enterprise environment is preferred.

Ultimately, I am keen to engage with strong communicators and passionate leaders who want to join an organisation going through a genuinely exciting period of change. In return, you will be rewarded with a competitive base salary as well as a 10% non-contributory pension, 25 days holiday, annual bonus and remote working opportunities.

Does that float your boat? (I couldnt think of a better analogy there...). If the answer is a resounding 'yes' then please get in touch.
