Test Automation Engineer (Financial Sector Experience Essential- Trading Systems), London, Financial Sector
Our financial client are looking for a Test Automation Engineer to lead the testing activity in support of the Trading System Replacement project (TSR). The ideal candidate will have a strong background of testing in investment/commercial banking operational environments and strong with the following technologies: C#, Visual Studio, NUnit, Selenium, TFS, Oracle.
The role will involve:
* Helping to create automation tests for different interfaces and the trading system of TSR programme.
* Creating/maintaining test automation framework
* Creation of automation tests for Windows applications
* Creation of automation tests for non UI applications
* Creation of automation tests for trading system
* Work with manual QAs in analysing requirements and identifying test scenarios
* Maintain automation test environments
* Assisting QA team in running/analysing the automated test pack
* Training other members of team in using the test pack.
The successful candidate will know and follow good testing practice employing efficient methods and be able to navigate through the work quickly and effectively to tight timescales. Good communication skills and a pro-active "can-do" approach are essential for this role. Good people skills feature very highly.
Experience
* At least 2 year's experience of working in as Test Automation Engineer role in an operational environment with time-critical activities (finance - investment banking)
* Defining test strategies using a recognised structured approach
* Testing in-house developed application software as well as 3rd party products
* End to end testing of critical business processes
* Managing small test teams and associated resources
* Leading System Testing and User Acceptance testing.
Knowledge
· Technologies: C#, Visual Studio, NUnit, Selenium, TFS, Oracle
· Worked on both web and windows applications.
· Setup of test automation framework from scratch
· Knowledge of trading systems
