Junior Developer, Application and Software Support Engineer, SQL.
A Software Support Engineer or Junior Developer is needed to join our reputable client in their Oxford offices. This role offers candidates the opportunity to broaden their skill set as the client uses MVC, Perl and SQL as well as offering them the chance to progress through the company as they learn. The Software Support Engineer or Junior Developer will be joining the growing company to work collaboratively to analyse their clients’ requirements for their current development projects.

The Application Support Engineer will have as much experience in the following as possible:
Experience working in an Agile environment
Experience in a 2nd/3rd line support role
Experience mentoring 1st and 2nd line Support Analysts
SQL
Perl
HTML and JavaScript
Experience with Test Driven Development or Unit Testing
This role would be ideal for a Software Support Engineer who is currently looking for a new challenge and wants to work to build bespoke client projects. A Software Support Engineer who has experience working at a 3rd line level to resolve escalated cases. A Junior Developer who is keen to learn new technologies. An Application Support Analyst who is ambitious and wants to become more technical. A 3rd line Support Engineer who has experience mentoring 1st and 2nd line Support Analysts and a 3rd line support Engineer who has experience with SQL and Perl.
This position is based in Botley and is commutable from Oxford, Eynsham, Reading, Summertown, Kidlington, Woodstock, Abingdon, Witney, Aylesbury and Swindon. It is not far from the A34,Oxford Train Station or the S1 Bus Route.
