Data Centre Engineer x 4 - Salary + Shift Allowance + 10% Bonus

A fortune 100 global organisation, and one of the largest telecommunications companies in the world are looking for a number of Data Centre Engineers / Datacentre Technicians to join their continuously expanding and highly skilled work force. We're looking for Data Centre Engineers with any level of experience to join an organisation who operate nearly 150 data centres globally, and offer lots of opportunity for career progression and development alongside a great working environment.

You will build and maintain infrastructure to support several thousand enterprise clients, be responsible for the resolution of hardware issues, deployment of new systems, installation of operating systems, as well as dealing with ad-hoc support requests.

Key Responsibilities for the Data Centre Engineer:

* Configuring and troubleshooting customer solutions;

* Testing new Operating Systems and hardware;

* Install and maintain servers;

* Respond, action and resolve requests / faults logged ;

* Racking of switches, routers and network hardware;

* Active monitoring of all servers;

* Data Centre reporting (power, fault lights, etc.);

* Escalation of faults and issues to various teams;

* Assist with escorting and resolving issues related to co-location environments;

The successful candidates should have experience in troubleshooting and installing operating systems, networking and software, and have a general understanding of networking and data centre environments. Due to the requirement for several engineers, we are happy to consider applicants at any stage of their career.

Additional Requirements (Essential):

Candidates must be able to obtain Security Clearance (SC). To obtain the relevant SC you must have lived in the UK continuously for the last 5 years. Inclusion in a shift rota is required, which may involve evening and weekend work.

You will ideally hold a full UK driver license. A company vehicle will be provided for any travel between different DC's / sites.

Successful candidates will be based from either Slough or Hemel Hempstead Locations
