This role offers the opportunity for a senior Digital Forensics professional to develop and implement the digital forensics strategy to be used across varied and complex investigations of national importance.

The Digital Forensics and Intelligence Service is a team of highly skilled professionals who bring their expertise to the investigation, collation, processing and analysis of digital material to support the investigation and enforcement work of the CMA.
The Assistant Director role is is a senior role carrying significant responsibility and autonomy to develop, promote and implement the digital forensic strategy. You will lead one of three Digital Forensics Teams in providing exceptional digital forensic, OSINT and eDiscovery tasks to CMA case teams, including managing your own caseload, in support of their investigations/projects. With guidance from the Director, you will implement the agreed CMA Digital Forensics Strategy across a portfolio of cases and projects, and you will be part of the management team of the Digital Forensics and Intelligence Service, with a focus on people development and team delivery of exceptional digital forensic services.
To be considered you must be able to evidence:
Significant experience in leading a team of digital forensic investigators
Experience leading the digital forensic strand of an investigation in terms of advising on how investigators can best use the digital evidence available to them and delivering an agreed solution
Understanding of the ISO and related standards for digital forensic investigations
Experience of the use of a digital forensic investigation tools (FTK, X-Ways, Axiom, Cellebrite, Nuix)
