The Job:

E-Commerce Merchandise Planner

Pay: £21 per hour or £159 per day

Job Details:

We are looking for a talented individual to join our Ecommerce team. This individual will be analytical, detail-oriented and have exceptional problem solving skills. He/she will have a background that includes a mixture of buying, inventory planning and data analysis.

This individual will become known for getting the right stock, to the right place, at the right time ensuring delivery of our sales plan and enabling us to provide an enticing product selection for our online customers whilst meeting commercial ambitions.

The primary purpose of the role is to optimise stock levels within e-commerce through the analysis of forecasts and trends to ensure availability of product to meet consumer demand.

Working closely with the buying and supply chain teams, other responsibilities include identifying seasonal, life cycle and promotional trends, and ensuring software tools are adjusted to reflect these. Making effective allocations to e-commerce and providing reports and analysis to ensure clean exit strategy and new range integration whilst continually driving increased stock turn will also be a

key part of the role.

Job Role

The successful individual will work with colleagues from e-commerce, buying, merchandising and supply chain to:

* Ensure the right stock, is in the right place, at the right time.

* Optimize stock intake to be aligned with customer demand.

* Ensure product uptake is aligned to the promotional plan.

* Take ownership of ecommerce stock availability, managing the stock holding within budget.

* Develop detailed assortment and category plans that deliver the annual sales plan.

* Review price, category mix and margins to maximise profitability.

* Analyse sales performance and inventory levels and put together action plans for the team.

* Monitor slow movers and take action to improve performance and sell through stock.

* Identify areas of high potential for range development.

* Support the buying team on buying planning issues.

* On a weekly basis review the ecommerce demand levels and work with the buyers to guarantee product availability.

* Build reports for the Supply Chain, Category and e-commerce teams.

* Ability to influence cross functional departments to ensure business goals are met.

* Good negotiation skills

* Highly organised and structured.

* Strong Excel Knowledge.

* Strong sense of urgency and the ability to work in fast paced environment.

* Detail-oriented, with exceptional problem solving skills and the ability to multi-task.

* Ability to plan and prioritize.

* Knowledge of ecommerce is an advantage.

Additional information:

This is a 3 months term with a strong likelihood to further extend and paying £150 - £159 per day. My client is an award winning organisation.
