AWS Cloud Consultant - Big Data (Redshift, EC2, S3, Hadoop, Lambda, etc.)

I am looking for an experienced Cloud Solutions Architect to help design, build out, maintain, and troubleshoot cloud computing infrastructure, for a fast growing consultancy. You will be part of a talented team of highly-experienced engineers in their Cloud and Innovative Solutions team that demonstrate superb technical competency, delivering mission critical infrastructure and ensuring the highest levels of availability, performance and security.

The AWS Cloud Consultant will be responsible for supporting large scale deployment projects, network and all underlying systems related to supporting cloud computing workloads and IT project deployment. The AWS Cloud Consultant will utilize critical thinking and problem solving in concert with effective industry tested tools to deliver exceptional value to our customers as we help them to select, deploy, and manage their cloud technology.

Job Responsibilities

* Design enterprise cloud technical strategy

* Define and document cloud solution architecture(s) including technical designs and diagrams.

* Design and deploy dynamically scalable and highly available services on AWS

* Build and deploy production systems in AWS

* Design infrastructure as code structure including Terraform

* Devise enterprise strategies around containerization, serverless and API management.

* Design cloud network connectivity architecture.

* Help customers shape their journey to adopting Cloud Services

* Run customer facing workshops to tease out business drivers or present technical concepts

* Assist Cloud Architects to design cloud architecture or create governance models

* Provide hands-on technical expertise when needed on key projects

Technical Knowledge

* Strong Experience configuring and deploying applications in Amazon Cloud using core features of that environment such as: EC2, RDS, S3, ELB, VPC

* Basic experience configuring and deploying applications in Amazon Cloud using features such as: Elasticache, Redshift, Lamda, API Gateway

* Experience with JAVA, PHP, Ruby & Node.js

* Experience with Bash & Python scripting

* Experience with Amazon API's for integration

* Experience in a client delivery role with direct client interaction

* Driven to achieve a high level of client and customer satisfaction

* Exceptional problem-solving skills

* Ability to work independently and within a team as the technical SME.

* Passion for delivering high quality technical solutions

* Strong crisis management skills

* Strong oral and written communication skills including presentation skills with both technical and non-technical audiences

* A natural enthusiasm and ability to learn cutting edge technologies

Required Qualifications:

* hands-on software development coding experience.

* hands-on experience implementing AWS services and solutions

* Strong knowledge of Big Data technologies, tools, and software & services vendors.
