I am currently seeking an organised and experienced Desktop Support Analyst to join the IT Department of a transport company (6 week contract based in London)

You must have experience in the rail/transport industry.

You will provide IT support face to face, via email and over the phone to a variety of end users including senior business executives. I am looking for someone with great enthusiasm, drive and high energy levels and someone who has excellent interpersonal skills as there is a strong customer-facing element to the role.

Key accountabilities/responsibilities:

* Desktop Support - Issuing of laptops for new starters; setting up mobile phones; support and troubleshooting of laptops, Citrix workstations, mobile phones etc.

* Handle daily technical support activities on desktop environments, troubleshoot and resolve hardware and software issues for users, being able to explain things in a jargon-free way.

* Carry out an induction for new starters, covering the available IT services, how to get IT support and signing of the Acceptable Use Policy (AUP)

* Provide responsive support on video-conference systems to Executive team and their PAs in London. Working with the IT Operations and Service Delivery Managers to keep them up to date with client issues as they arise/escalate

To be successful in this role, excellent communication skills are essential coupled with the ability to identifying priorities and ensuring that all requests are logged within Service Management System and responded to within required timeframes.
