Based in Newbridge, Edinburgh, this is an exciting opportunity to work with one of the UK's fastest growing brands in the Ecig industry as a lead web developer. Working within the IT department and reporting to the Operations Manager, the ideal candidate will be able to demonstrate a strong ability to work well under pressure and exhibit excellent communication skills.

The successful candidate will be mainly responsible for designing, developing and maintaining new websites and features as per project requirements as well as leading the testing and deployment of each project until completion.

Knowledge, Skills and Experience required:

- Minimum two years' web development experience

- Possess a combination of programming skills, namely PHP, HTML5, CSS3 and JavaScript

- Experience with PHP MVC frameworks (WordPress, Magento)

- Understanding of database architecture and the use of SQL/MySQL

- Solid understanding of SEO best practices

- Experience with Content Management Systems, deploying themes, plugins and updates

- Good understanding of traffic and conversion measurements

Desirable:

- An understanding of source code management and exposure to Git version control

- Experience working with a site that derives its revenue through consumer traffic

- Experience developing custom web applications that drive business processes
