A leading UK manufacturing organisation supplying precision machined components to a range of industries from Aerospace, automotive and general manufacturing are currently looking for a head of Quality to join their current senior management team and head up the quality department within the organisation. The incoming Head of Quality will have a strong hand on background and be able to operate at strategic level as well as being competent working on the shop floor if required.An overview of the position is as follows

'€¢Lead structured containment measures and use of problem solving methods (8D, DMAIC, SWHY, Cause mapping) and implementation of permanent corrective actions'€¢Follow-up of the implementation of quality tools in all aspects of organization such as, but not limited to PFMEA, Control Plans, Gauge R&R, Equipment PFMEA and Validation, Advanced problem solving, 6 Sigma'€¢Work with the site Quality Leaders to ensure the maintenance of quality management system approvals, ensuring compliance'€¢Management of internal audit, ensuring effective corrective actions'€¢Supporting of external audits'€¢Reviewing customer requirements and ensuring that they are met including following up on customer returns

They are ideally looking for someone form the following background

'€¢Experience in leading large teams of individuals across multiple sites'€¢Six Sigma qualified, ideally blackbelt'€¢Lead Auditor'€¢5 years' experience in management experience'€¢Change and strategic management experience'€¢Degree educated in an engineering discipline
