Manufacturing Manager - Manufacturing Systems Manager

Near Bristol

6 Month + Contract

My client is leading engineering company who design and manufacture complex, high-tech equipment to a niche industry.

They require a Manufacturing Systems Manager on a contract basis to support the Operations Manager during a period of staff shortage.

This is face paced, challenging environment but also an excellent opportunity to work for a highly reputable company during a period of growth.

The purpose of the role is to lead and manage the Manufacturing Engineering department in the creation, maintenance and continuous improvement of the production system and the manufacturing engineering within projects in accordance with the requirements of the Product Commercialisation Process to achieve on time delivery of qualitative and cost effective products within a safe and LEAN manufacturing process.

The successful candidate will have demonstrable experience in a Manufacturing Management role and will likely have worked for a company who manufacture low volume, complex products/

Qualifications:

- Engineering degree or equivalent Experience

- Experience of working within an assembly environment Project management experience including implementation of complex and technically challenging projects

- Experience of working in different sized organisations

- Experience of utilising problem solving and root cause analysis tools in a manufacturing environment

- Proven track record of delivering projects on time and within budget Previous experience in key manufacturing principles such as TPM, 8D, 6S problem solving, product responsibility, continuous improvement process as well as new product introduction.

- Previous demonstrable experience in change management Experience of co-ordinating, planning and implementing complex projects.
