Cloud Architect City of London 6 months contract £750+ per day

A fantastic opportunity has arisen for a position as a Cloud Architect in a bank. Located in the heart of central London for a period of six months.

The ideal candidate will be responsible for the technical design of the companies cloud platform architecture which will include security, storage, compliance, DevOps, data ingestion, deployment and overall platform optimization. The candidate will play a key role in the design and development of our clients cloud environment using the tools of DevOps.

Responsibility

* Responsible for target infrastructure, application and DevOps solutions

* Usage of DevOps tools such as Terraform, Chef, Puppet, Ansible, Docker and Jenkins

* Support company in architecting scalable, reliable and secure solutions

* Developing technical content, such as blog posts, sample code and demos

* Work with stakeholders to translate the business vision into solution designs that will shape the current, target and key intermediate states for technology solutions.

* Evaluate costs, benefits, risks and opportunities of new technology solutions and initiatives

required to deliver business and technology strategies

* Act as a liaison between the company and the wider organisation and key technology partners to ensure ongoing alignment between the companies information architecture and the strategic objectives, regulatory compliance obligations and investment programmes.

Requirements

* Familiarity with the DevOps philosophy, practices, and tools

* skilled in the design and implementation of complex IT solution(including scalable cloud-based solutions and micro-services architectures

* Practical operational experience including monitoring application and infrastructure performance and reliability

* In-depth understanding of technologies in the open source developer ecosystem, including IDEs, developer frameworks, continuous integration platforms

* Knowledge of the latest developments in NoSQL databases, Containers and Real time analytics solutions
