Software Development Engineer - AWS / SageMaker
We are looking for Data Scientists with experience in AWS SageMaker to join an innovative Data Science organization. As part of the Data Science team you will use big data tools and your programming, quantitative modelling and machine learning expertise to deliver valuable insights that can be deployed as data products at scale. To be successful, you will need to have a passion for all aspects of data science and analytics - from business analysis, data collection, exploratory analysis and predictive modelling, to solution architecting, engineering, deployment and support through monitoring dashboards and reports.
You will be focused on
* Applying graph algorithms and advanced clustering analytics to enhance the consumer identity graph
* Using NLP frameworks to categorize consumer events from their network and from external event data sources
* Building and deploying predictive models and consumer journey analytics, leveraging automation, containerization and model lifecycle management principles
* Proposing product enhancements, exploring alternative use cases with standard products, and developing new product ideas through prototypes and PoCs
* Evaluating alternative data sources to enhance their platform's core capabilities (identity resolution, content classification, consumer journey predictions), or to enrich the set of consumer journey events and attributes currently captured to increase lift or the quality of insights
* Engaging business and technical teams to arrive at solutions with clear business impact and that maximize the value of their data and products
* Collaborating with other Data Scientists to further the team's analytical acumen, expand our inventory of approaches and promote a data-driven culture across the company
Required Qualifications
* Deep quantitative skillset that includes formal training in applied mathematics, statistics and/or computational sciences
* Expert-level proficiency with SQL, R, Python and Spark as tools for data processing, visualization, analysis and algorithm development
* Subject-matter expertise in the application of machine learning algorithms and predictive analytics to data product development
* Experience developing, validating, testing, deploying and monitoring predictive models and algorithms in real-time or batch production environments
* Experience developing analytical solutions leveraging distributed computing platforms and big data technologies
Preferred Qualifications
* Experience developing adtech/martech applications and solutions involving identity resolution, content classification and consumer journey predictions
* Experience with AWS services such as S3, EC2, EMR, Glue, Athena, Redshift, Neptune, ML, SageMaker
* Experience with machine learning libraries and deep learning frameworks such as H2O, MXNet, TensorFlow, Theano, Keras
* Experience with other programming languages such as Node.js, C/C++, Java, Scala
* Experience as a member of an agile (Scrum/Kanban) product, engineering or tech-ops team, and familiarity with cloud infrastructure, software development tools, processes, and SDLC
