Application Support Analyst

Contract

£40-£60 per hour

Oxfordshire

My client is a market leading healthcare company based in Oxfordshire who are looking for an experienced Application Support Analyst for on an initial 3-6 month contract.

The successful candidate will be helping with a whole range of support and project work during a very busy expansion period for the business.

The candidate must:

*Able to liaise with staff & third parties to resolve third line IT technical issues & challenges.

*Experience supporting business-critical Applications and their environments

*Application knowledge & experience e.g Java, SQL, Oracle and General Business Applications.

*Systems Life Cycle experience

*Excellent ability to communicate with customers at all levels, both technical and non-technical

*Experience of troubleshooting & problem solving application issues

*Developing & working with system documentation

*Ability to meet deadlines on multiple activities at any one time (project and support items)

*Work effectively as part of a wider team

*Possess the ability to conceptualise and think creatively.

*Able to Serve as a liaison between multiple departments to facilitate project scoping, requirements gathering & solution architecting.

Highly Desirable

*Database query experience - Oracle & SQL

*Manufacturing Execution System (MES) application support experience

*Working closely with clients, identifying business needs and the cost/benefits of implementing solutions.

*Able to work with technical and non-technical people to implement & support critical systems

*Define system requirements

*Experience of Adhering to regulatory & IT policies & procedures

*Experience in a regulated (e.g. healthcare) environment

*System validation experience

*Proficient in developing and adhering to documentation

*Experience of contributing to supporting critical applications that run 24x7

*Experience with developing & supporting reports in off the shelf reporting tools such as Cognos

*Third line support experience

*Experience researching & evaluating solutions and making recommendations for improved system operations, control or enhanced business function.

*Providing day-to-day support including problem resolution and coordination of operational activity relative to job scheduling, including the provision for out of hours support if necessary.

*Experience of maintaining records e.g. Helpdesk tickets and application portfolio records

*Understanding of the US Food and Drug Administration directive 21CFR part 820 and 21 CFR part 11 relating to electronic record keeping and electronic signatures.

*Experience with guiding and leading both individual staff members, contractors and software support companies on behalf of the business for application support, development and enhancements.

*Project management experience of small-medium sized projects

*Degree in Computer Science, or equivalent experience within a recognised IT environment

Desirable

*Linux server experience

*Linux/Unix shell scripting, SQL & PL/SQL

*Lotus Notes application support experience
