Senior Product Manager

This new role will be responsible for product management and delivery on credit cards and loans across both of The Clients Brands.
They have revolutionised how consumers apply for credit cards and loans online but the market and consumer demands continue to change. As we make our service more personalised, proactive and painless this role will provide the product leadership to deliver a mobile first credit search, banking application process with the customer at the heart of everything. Using data from credit reference agencies, open banking and other 3rd party data sources this role will ensure that we remove frictions from customer journeys and continue to optimise the credit decisioning process.
Working with Commercial, Technology and Data partners internally and externally this new role will provide leadership to Product Owners/Managers on all aspects of the product strategy. This innovation requires smart design, bold simplification, regulatory support, data and exceptional partner relationships. The candidate will get the chance to really make an impact and bring design excellence to an outdated and very complex ecosystem.
What will you be doing?
* With an eye on the industry and competitors, lay out the long-term vision and strategy for
your product.
* Engage with customers, stakeholders, partners and suppliers to gain an in-depth
understanding of the needs of the marketplace and define standout product
experiences.
* Take full ownership of the product roadmap, both driving delivery of the overarching
strategy and ensuring that it is compelling and reflective of customer needs.
* Work closely with the delivery leads and product engineering squads, selling them your
vision and ensuring that they are both fully engaged and equipped to deliver at the pace
of the business.
* Be meticulous about the detail, testing your product obsessively to optimise it, while
finding a pragmatic balance between exploratory A/B testing and frequent controlled
releases.
* Manage risk for your products, working with data and research teams to ensure that
assumptions do not overtake evidence and best practise.
* Be on top of the health of the product, using analytics and other investigative tools to
ensure all aspects of the journey operate as expected.
* Work with senior leadership to ensure the correct resourcing is available to deliver your
product vision.
* Where required, help build detailed investment cases, presenting to key stakeholders.
* Mentor and lead a number of direct reports, ensuring that they are both challenged and
supported in their personal development.
What you will need to excel in this role?
* Demonstrable success and experience in a product management role in a comparable
digital tech environment
* Experience with and an appreciation for agile development practices
* A deep level of comfort with data tools and analytical methods
* Executive presence and strong story telling skills
* A BA/BSc or equivalent coupled with extensive practical experience
* Prior experience in regulated financial services or fin tech business is an advantage
