RF Systems Engineer

An industry leading provider of satellite communication technology is looking for an RF Systems Engineer to join them on a permanent basis. Among other responsibilities, this varied role will involve performing system level simulations and predicting performance of complex RF and digital blocks, you will produce specifications for RF transceiver blocks and work closely with the RFIC design team.

Desired Skills:

5+ years of experience in design and verification of wireless Radio Systems

Proficient in operating RF lab equipment including VNA, power meters, spectrum analyzers, vector signal generators, high frequency oscilloscopes

Proficient is use of system simulation tools like Matlab, ADS and SystemVue

Thorough understanding of Digital signal processing techniques, including digital filters, IQ sample manipulation etc

Experience with RF PCB debug, impedance matching, RF circuit characterization

Experience in Test automation is a plus

Experience in designing Phased Array Antenna systems is a plus

Experience in designing VSAT Ku and Ka band terminals is a plus

Substantial use, understanding and tailoring of systems engineering concepts, principles, and theories

Good analytical, problem solving and communication skills
