Tester - Contract - £130 per day - Manchester

My Client is currently seeking a Product Assurance Engineer to join a successful team and help produce the next generation of interactive mobile gaming products.

Responsibilities:

* Work with developers to understand system and game internals to develop and adapt comprehensive test plans.

* Investigate faults found in the field and escalate accordingly.

* Participate in the evaluation of games and gain an understanding of the online and mobile market and player choices.

* Assist in defining the mobile platform and device support matrix

Person:

* Must have strong knowledge of testing methodology to design the tests for the best test coverage.

* Must be able to work individually, communicating with developers geographically remotely, and work in a team environment locally to learn and share the knowledge within the team.

* Demonstrate strength in test planning, test case design, testing.

* Strong analytical thinking, logical reasoning, problem recognition, and problem resolution skills.

* Ability and enthusiasm to contribute to and critique the audio/visual and game play aspects of each game design

* Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Skills:

* Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience.

* 1+ years software test experience, ideally in a product development environment

* Experience with using test management and defect tracking tools (JIRA, Confluence, HP Quality Center)

* Knowledge of mobile platforms and devices
