Embedded C Engineer/ FreeBSD Kernel Developer/ Device Driver Embedded C Developer/ Embedded C Engineer/ Embedded Android Kernel Developer A central London based client of mine have an immediate requirement for a Senior Device Driver and Embedded C Engineer with familiarity with Android build (not applications) to work on an Hub device connecting to a TV via a cloud platform. The correct profile is someone who can understand the Linux Kernel drivers and SYS calls, but also how to bridge these through the middle ware layer as Android Application Framework APIs, interfacing with native C/C++ over JNI and north-facing via Java. Essentially looking for someone to own all layers with the exception of the Application Layer and Hardware Layer on the attached diagram.Any familiarity with i2C, BLE or audio/video integration is recognised as beneficial. Embedded C Engineer/ FreeBSD Kernel Developer/ Device Driver Embedded C Developer/ Embedded C Engineer/ Embedded Android Kernel Developer This is for an initial 6-month contract at a £300 - £500 per day rate.
