This IT solutions company are looking for a Junior Software Developer to be part of their exciting and dynamic team based in York. You will be developing cutting-edge bespoke software solutions that are delivered in browser or on mobile device.

You'll be responsible for the development, support and testing of existing solutions and the build of new solutions according to specification.

Responsibilities:

- Understand technical and functional requirements.

- Develop solutions to the requirements presented.

- Understand the weaknesses of certain browsers / devices and how to degrade gracefully for them.

- Work alone or as part of a team of developers.

- Understand the necessity of and contribute to coding standards in all solutions.

- Test solutions for functionality and compatibility with most modern browsers and devices.

- Provide regular feedback to allow senior staff to keep customers updated.

- Must live within a 45 minute commute of York Science Park.

Essential Skills:

- PHP

- HTML

- CSS

- JavaScript

- Excellent communication, interpersonal and organisational skills

- Foundation

- Zend Framework for PHP 2/3

- HTML5

- CSS3

- JQuery, JQuery UI

- iOS Development (Objective C or Swift)

- Android Development

- Java & J2EE

- SASS

- React, Vue or Angular

- RPG

- .NET

- Experience of IBM System I (formerly iSeries or AS/400)

- Experience of Ubuntu server and LAMP hosting environments

- Experience of Adobe Photoshop & Illustrator
