My client, an energy trading company based in Sunbury requires a Salesforce Development Engineer, who has experience in writing code and executing technical, analytical and configuration tasks is ideal.

SalesForceDevelopment Engineers Specialist responsibilities include:

- Provide support to product teams on all opportunities and key gaps requiring enabling technologies

- Initiate analysis to choose enabling technology as part of a highly automated ALM

- Identification and optimization of development options,

- Identify and manage necessary facility engineering studies to support product and platform deliverables

- Support and coordinate implementation of mechanical integrity, safety and environment requirements

- Close integration and communication with all team and product members

- The ability to communicate and work across disciplines

- Facilitate the deploying of changes to SalesForce environment

- Work alongside Products Teams to ensure all updates to the Salesforce platform seamlessly move from development into production

- Responsible for driving operational excellence by implementing strategies for continuous delivery of Salesforce and any dependent software on the cloud.

- Operate, support and improve our tools for continuous integration, automated testing and release management

- Drive increased efficiency across the Product Teams, eliminating duplication, leveraging product and technology reuse

- Document and advocate adoption of our continuous delivery / continuous integration processes and tools (Selenium, Maven, Jenkins etc)

- Continue to develop and improve our monitoring and dashboards for the Salesforce platform

- Compliance with defined code and documentation standards, including peer review of code and documentation of code changes

- Re-engineering highly complex program components including code generation

- Integrating software packages residing on multiple platforms

- Participation in decisions regarding the integration of software packages and programs

- Performing testing activities

- Translation of business requirements into program specifications and writing code from the functional description.

- Experience in Behaviour Driven Development and Agile (SCRUM/KANBAN)

- Experience in setting up and being part of Development Operations (supporting Production)

- Preferably experience working with UX / UI as part of Design Thinking Workshops.

We really want people with experience in delivering highly automated application lifecycle management. The role will need to include, but not exclusively, code versioning, automated deployment processes, automated build processes, automated code quality checking, automated integration test execution. It would be highly desirable for the experience in API usage into software such as SLACK and Service Now. Experience in Configuration Management Systems is recommended.

If appropriate, candidates will need to provide details of SalesForcespecialities on such as Force.com, Communities, DX etc, with the associated number of years’ experience.

This role is part of an Agile organisation which has been practicing Agile via Scrum and Kanban for the last seven years, using geographically dispersed teams. The role will include being flexible to enable success of business outcomes across documentation, planning, testing, development, analysis and technical design and deployment.
