Bid Team Estimator - Mechanical & Electrical

Moorgate, London

c£60,000 Plus Private Healthcare, 8% Pension (after 12 months’ service), 25 Days’ Holiday

If you have a strong rail background and experience of working with bid sizes ranging from £10K - £20m, this is a fantastic opportunity to take on a fast-paced role with a well-established business.

Our client is an integrated service provider that delivers a range of mechanical, electrical, fire & building fabric maintenance services within the transport sector. They are now looking for a Bid Team Estimator to join their team.

As a Bid Team Estimator, you’ll produce bid estimations and technical solutions for a wide range of bid sizes, focusing on customers from the rail sector.

Reporting to the Bid Team Manager, you will:

- Provide estimates for bids in regards to effort, material requirements and prelims

- Quantify bids

- Conduct site surveys

- Liaise with the Engineering Team regarding technical solutions

To be considered, you will need:

- At least five years’ experience of working in the rail environment

- A track record of working with bid sizes ranging from £10K - £20m

- Experience of using estimating systems

- A qualification in mechanical or electrical engineering

Adaptable and proactive, as a Bid Team Estimator, you’ll be a great communicator who can quickly build effective relationships. You’ll also have strong commercial awareness and the ability to work to tight deadlines in an organised manner.
