Desktop Support Engineer (3 Month FTC)

They strive to improve the world through engineering by developing engineers, promoting engineering, informing opinion and encouraging innovation. They’ve moved from outsourced to in-house infrastructure support and, as such, are looking for a Desktop Support Engineer to join them on a three month fixed-term contract.

As a Desktop Support Engineer, you will:

- Provide desktop support to the user base (circa 180 users)

- Help, support and educate users on IT issues and features

- Follow issues through from inception to resolution using the Helpdesk system

Interested? To be considered, you’ll need experience of the following:

- Supporting Windows 7 to Windows 10 OS

- Working with a ticket and/or case management system, such as FreshService

- Active Directory and Group Policy

- Sophos anti-virus

- MS Office 2013 onwards

- iOS mobile devices

- Window Server 2003 - 2016

- Automated build technologies

- Mitel phone system

Experience of working with Microsoft Exchange 2010 would be beneficial. Experience with laptops, desktops and mobile devices would also be an advantage.
