Role Responsibility
The role will report to the Head of Projects and the Head of Technology providing clear advice and guidance on strategic changes to the infrastructure. Working on both the IP core and Live core the purpose of the role will be to ensure design changes meet the needs of BBC Wales; whilst aligned to pan-BBC strategies, that the changes are value for money and that the projects to deliver the change have passed all quality thresholds.

The Ideal Candidate
The ideal candidate will have the following set of skills, knowledge and experience:
Demonstrable experience of designing solutions for the media industry.
Be an expert in file based delivery and all aspects of post-production.
Have knowledge of an IP infrastructure in a broadcast environment.
Have experience of leading teams in a broadcasting environment.
Knowledge of the BBC and/or Media sector and broad understanding of traditional and new technologies used in a broadcast and online environment.
