My client is looking for enthusiastic Graduate Developers to join their team Headquartered in Edinburgh. This is a great opportunity to join a well-established hard working team.
The department specialise in providing Help Desk and IT service management solutions to blue chip organisations as well as the public sector, offering the best consultancy solutions. They also develop software concepts, provide technical support and help the Sales/ Professional service teams.
As a Graduate Developer your day to day duties will be:
* Developing features and components for the full product suite.
* Looking after the development lifecycle including analysis, testing, implementation and more
* Taking part in a variety of projects and meeting department requirements
* Providing 3rd level application support.
The ideal Graduate Developer should have the following:
* A university degree in computer science or equivalent
* Experience in knowledge of SQL and Oracle
* Experience in JavaScript, HTML and CSS
* Project or placement experience in developing Java/ Java EE applications.
* Experience or the knowledge of Agile software, g Scrum, user stories
* Strong problem solving skills
* Good communications
* Career driven
Desirable skills would be:
* Jave EE technologies such as EJB3, Servlets and JSP
* Java Script frameworks like Dojo, jQuery
* Application servers such as JBoss and/or WebSphere
* Java persistence frameworks such as Hibernate/JPA
