We’re searching for DevOps Engineering Lead to join a world leading Technology Company based in Oxford. The DevOps Engineering Lead will join a group of fantastic technologist suing the latest cloud technologies to improve services across the company. The DevOps Engineering Lead will lead a group of DevOps Engineers and change the way web products are delivered.

This new role is based in an accessible location in the beautiful city of Oxford. The role is also highly commutable from various locations in the area including High Wycombe, Oxford, Hemel Hempstead, Aylesbury, Reading, Milton Keynes, Northampton, Swindon, Witney, Abingdon, Wallingford, Thame, Bicester, Didcot, Wantage, Henley and many more!

The DevOps Engineering Lead will have the following responsibilities:

                     Manager a team of DevOps engineers, ensuring the team develops the skills for the work they have to carry out.

                     You will lead the introduction of practices to improve the project’s operational maturity, infrastructure as code, automated server provisioning, automated testing and deployments, monitoring etc.

                     Familiarise with the project’s current operational requirements and may be asked to join the on-call rota for out-of-hours support.

The DevOps Engineering Lead will have the following experience:

                     Cloud computing infrastructure in AWS or alternatively Azure, Google Cloud etc.

                     Working with and supporting a multi-tiered enterprise application

                     Automated provisioning tools such as Puppet, Ansible or Chef

                     Networking; security; monitoring; alerting

                     infrastructure as code using Terraform or CloudFormation

                     Linux operating systems (RHEL, Centos, Debian)

                     Version control using Git and GitFlow scripting in: Python, Bash

The DevOps Engineering Lead may also have the following experience:

                     Container orchestration (Docker, AWS ECS, Kubernetes)

                     JBOSS or similar java container

                     Large-scale monitoring and reporting

                     Oracle Web Logic stack

                     ELK (Elastic Search, Logstash, Kibana)

                     New Relic, CloudWatch, Application Performance Monitoring (APM)

                     the Hashicorp suite (Terraform, Vault, Vagrant, Packer, Nomad)

                     Behaviour Driven Development, Test Driven Design, Server Spec, Test Kitchen

                     web and application servers such as: NGINX, Apache and Tomcat/Jetty

                     Working in an agile environment (Kanban or Scrum)
