As part of a new initiative, technology products are now being included in the testing process. As such, they’re now seeking aCyber Security Consultant to join their team in Hemel Hempstead.

Your Role

As the Cyber Security Consultant, you’ll report on the results of testing activities for internet-connected products which have undertaken penetration testing.

Working closely with a team of Testers, you’ll identify the sources of failures and report these back to the manufacturer/client. You will omit details of why the product has failed or how it can be improved as this is protected market knowledge and our client must be seen to maintain impartiality.

Our client’s Kitemark is a prestigious and highly sought-after quality mark with accompanying high standards. You’ll ensure that testing is rigorous, thorough and in-depth and only products of exceptional calibre are certified.

Additionally, you will:

- Process certification applications in a timely manner

- Review technical reports

- Recommend certification enhancements, additions or updates

- Deliver a range of projects to financial, customer and quality guidelines

- Represent our client with external bodies

- Analyse market developments to support innovation

- Act as an account manager for selected key clients

About You

To be considered as aCyber Security Consultant, you’ll need:

- An awareness of cyber security-related legislation and European Directives and how to apply such knowledge to existing cyber products

- Experience within an IT hardware and/or cyber security environment

- Excellent verbal and written communication skills and the capability to communicate technical issues to a wide audience, including clients with limited technical knowledge and clients who do not use English as a first language

Experience of certification techniques or similar certification bodies would be beneficial to your application. In-depth knowledge of quality requirements detailed in relative international good-practice documents such as EN 45011 or ISO Guide 65 would also be an advantage. Knowledge of a range of international, European or British Standards and/or other relevant documents and procedures relating to IT and/or cyber security would be equally favourable.
