Senior DevOps Engineer

My Glasgow based client are looking for an experienced DevOps Engineer to support the development team by automating dev processes, as well as dev workflows and release management.

Key responsibilities will include:

* Automate the provisioning of Windows/Linux Systems

* Development workflows and release management

* Provide consultancy services to other IT teams

* Develop tools/scripts in python/perl/bash/powershell

You'll have a high level of technical knowledge relating to installation and maintenance of cloud-based components, supporting the development team and operations. You'll also be adept at the automation of these processes.

You'll have a broad range of skills that will assist in learning new technologies quickly, which is likely to have been gained from not only working in this field but also from knowledge acquired through personal interests outside the workplace.

You'll also need to demonstrate solid experience, understanding and knowledge in the following areas:

* Strong diagnostic and troubleshooting skills

* Puppet,Chef,Ansible, Salt orCFengine - Required

* Creation of puppet manifests

* Custom resource types

* Diagnosis of deployment failures

* Hiera data structures, custom facter facts.

* Strong AWS skills

* AWS Certified SysOps Administrator - Associate - Required

* AWS Certified Solutions Architect - Professional - Desired

* Networking withinAWS environment

* Defining VPCs, subnets, route tables

* Security groups, network control access lists

If you can also show us that you bring additional skills to the table, then we're all ears….especially if they're related to:

* AWS Code pipeline

* Creation and management of CodePipeline

* CodeBuild, CodeDeploy

* 5 years experience with Linux/Unix systems administration.

* Redhat, CentOS and RHEL
