Information Security Operations Manager - IT and Information Security - Sheffield
A key position for an established IT Security Professional, looking to take on more responsibility and have more influence across an organisation.
IT Security Operations - to £60k
This is a key position working to ensure that customer information and information systems are protected from unauthorised access / intrusion, use, disclosure, disruption, modification or destruction.
You will manage the Security roadmap and ensure these are effectively communicated to the team; support new projects and ensure they are risk assessed, and that security controls are put in place and implemented before going live.
Key Responsibilities
* Creation and maintenance of a full suite of ISO27001 compliant ISMS polices as part of a larger Security Operations team.
* Responding to customer audit or information requests on behalf of Managed Services
* Remain up to date with the latest threats and vulnerabilities to ensure operational tools and processes are up to date, introduce process improvements and ensure incident response plans are up to date and effectively tested.
* Drive collaboration, facilitating communication between teams and be the go-to person for security within the department.
Essential Candidate Requirements:
* Strong knowledge and understanding of information security frameworks, incident and application security best practices.
* Extensive experience in managed TVS and SIEM solutions
* Experience creating / maintaining an ISO27001 ISMS and/or PCI compliance projects and operation
* Experience of implementing Vulnerability Management and software.
* Experience with SIEM and software, including analysis of alerts and Logs.
* Proven leadership skills including performance management and performance plan development, issue resolution, negotiation, motivating others, forecasting and planning
* In-depth knowledge of encryption technologies and ciphers, including IPsec VPNs, TLS/SSL and storage encryption.
* Good knowledge of security technologies and controls such as Network, Application and Next Generation Firewalls, IPS, Web Proxy, Vulnerability Scanners, Host Intrusion Prevention, Active Directory, Secure FTP, Certificates and IPsec VPN
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills
* Strong Stakeholder management, Supplier management and Customer Relationship Management skills.
