Service Management Officer - Learning Technology

Spring Technology's client, a public sector organisation, are currently looking to recruit an IT Service Management Officer for an initial 6 month contract on a rate of c.£175-195/day (inside of IR35) based in Edinburgh.

Responsibilities:

* Providing service management and user support for a range of centrally supported learning technology services.

* Learning technology services include the institutional virtual learning environments, electronic assessment services and WordPress-based blogging services.

* Contribute to team service management and project responsibilities.

* Assist with shared responsibility for the team support rota.

Requirements:

* Good working knowledge of delivering learning technology tools within a wider IT service environment including VLEs, assessment tools, virtual class room tools, Wordpress blogs.

* Experience of blogging in learning and teaching.

* Flexible and diplomatic with proven negotiation skills.

* Awareness and understanding of current trends in IT related to learning technology.

* Experience working as an IT service provider, with evidence of providing central support for IT systems, working on service enhancements and developing service improvement plans.
