The Role
As the Senior Performance Analyst in the Performance and Consultation Unit you will lead and oversee projects and performance analysis as required to enable the Force to effectively manage its performance.
Key Responsibilities
The Performance + Consultation Unit consist of two teams, with the senior performance analyst leading. motivating and managing the workload of the performance team. The performance teams key responsibilities are to identify and analyse performance risks and opportunities across the operational elements of organisation. The team also produces the majority of statistical returns to the home office and also provide detailed responses to Freedom of Information requests. As well as managing the performance team, the senior performance analyst will be expected to prepare statistical analysis on a variety of topics and present any insights to senior leaders across the organisation.
Skills & Experience
The successful candidate will be expected to have the ability to manage a large and varied workload. It is essential that they have proven experience in extracting data and then analysing results to determine any insights. The use of the latest data science techniques, such as R packages, for this analysis is highly desirable. As an exceptional communicator, it is essential that the candidate has experience in preparing written reports and presenting findings and any recommendations to a variety of audiences. Experience in using the latest business intelligence tools such as Tableau or Microsoft PowerBI would be considered highly desirable.
Experience of supervising a small team is desirable although not essential for candidates demonstrating very strong analytical abilities as these skills can be developed in post through appropriate training (CPD).
