Business Intelligence Manager
Manchester
50000 - 60000 per annum
Responsible for setting the strategy and vision and for managing the day-to-day tactical operations of the Business Intelligence team.
The Business Intelligence Manager will be responsible for all strategic, operational, human, and technical resource managerial responsibilities associated with the BI function.
The BI Manager will lead the team by establishing and executing a vision for the delivery of information and analytics solutions to the businesss key stakeholders, including, internal staff, partners and clients.
Responsible for creating and delivering the MI strategy including technical roadmap, working closely with IT and wider business stakeholders.
Main Responsibilities:
Development and deployment of Data Marts for each business area
Enhance the development of both internal and external reporting
Consider the company data management and retention solution
Migration of reporting to read from the new Data Marts
Leading the BI team ensuring delivery of BAU reporting requirements
Automation of standard reports
Spearhead the data consistency and accuracy
Ensuring effective adoption of any reporting platform the company provides
Creating a development framework which incorporates testing
Bringing forward industry standard techniques and technologies and ensuring the company adheres to this
Maintaining both BAU and project work
Ensuring the MI team has the relevant skills needed to perform their role
Proposing and implementing reporting platform tools which serve a business purpose and benefit
Experience
* Proven Track record of leading a team of MI analysts
* Proven track record of delivering BI solutions
* Extensive expertise in SQL, Tableau, Qlikview or similar.
* Extensive expertise in data modelling, both logical and physical.
* Experience of Dashboard development
* Experience of ETL specification and development
* Experience with agile software development.
* Proven ability to establish and articulate a vision, set goals, develop and execute strategies, and track and measure results
* A solid understanding of key BI trends.
